Re: Prolite Brass 14x6

Right on Mystic...there is just something consistent about this snare, it just has that "gut" to it and so touch sensitive and dynamic. It opens up so many sonic variations. It's like 10 snares in 1...

Re: SonorSam

I have done business with Sonor Sam quite a few times over the years. Parts and bits mainly. I was able to get two of the Sonor Jungle Tambourine "Jangle" snares from them. I love having the tambo snare sitting just off the hi hat as an "auxiliary" snare because they sound like a timbale when the ...

Re: My Lites Through the Years

Yes, that was a good bit of coin back in 83, about $16K in today's dollars, so it evens out. I was more of a guitar guy back then, but that is a beautiful Sonor. Most of my friends were into Pearl and Tama back then during the Japanese Invasion period...so Sonor was not on my radar (or my friends ...

Re: SQ1 inspired by Chris Coleman...

I came by my SQ1 in an odd way. I was on Drumeo participating in a live class with Steve Smith. They were giving away an SQ1 snare and signed drumhead by Steve. I WON!!! So now I have a gold 14x5 snare that projects louder than my Sonor Force 3007 kit and just does not go with anything else I have ...

Sonor Force 3007 "Jungle" Kit

Here is my Force 3007 "JUNGLE" kit which I picked up NIB off Ebay back in 2014. It came in the 16" Kick, 10" High Tom and 14" Floor Tom. I added a 16" Floor Tom just to round out the kit (as few in the same color were hard to find). The color is a lacquer translucent brown (not red). The 16" Kick ...
