There is probably steam blowing out of my ears as I am writing this. FedEx FREQUENTLY loses my packages out here. There are two apartment complexes with identical numbering, but different street addresses. Usually, when they mis-deliver something, it's over at the other complex. Now and then, it's just nowhere to be found. They lost a great snare drum that I had gotten a KILLER deal on and it NEVER turned up.
I am aggravated not only over the loss of the package itself (which I need to complete a parts order I owe someone else), but also by the fact that there is always an element of aggravation whenever FedEx is bringing me something since there is a strong chance that it's going to be a fiasco.
THEN, you get on the phone with an automated system that asks elementary questions, which is understandable because they probably only lose most people's packages once in a while, and those people may not have the experience to know to actually check by the door, and the neighbor's yard and other states that have cities with the same name, and so on. After you go through all of that, you get on the phone with a very sweet lady for whom English is an 11th language and you go through the battery of being given all the known details of the package then being asked if you received your package. The strain of trying to understand the agent and keep the call moving forward only aggravated the situation. To cut to the end, I have an open ended ticket; have notified the shipper that I really didn't get the item (no response, yet), and am waiting to hear back from a customer that thinks he is going to have parts this week. Do I need to tell you what my current mood is?
FedEx and their third party delivery system sucks. This is not even an isolated issue. I can almost bank on them screwing this up.
