I know they ran the snare through something that added an octave lower sound to thicken it up. At any rate, it sounds great. I really like the brilliance of the tone and that is what I have come to expect from brass shelled snare drums. Great sound all the way around. Very sad knowing what Malcolm was going through on this tour, and it was the last time the classic lineup would tour together.
