I remember being a young/new drummer and Tommy Lee being on the cover of Modern Drummer. I wasn't much of a Motley Crue or TOMMY LEE fan, but I remember reading about the drums and hardware and was intrigued. And then bewildered when he changed drum companies. Again, and again.
A detail I missed over the years until recently is the badge placement on the 15" tom (he had 14X14" and 15x15" toms as I recall) on the white set. There certainly isn't symmetry with the badge placement on the white toms, and if you look at the black toms, both badge are two sections away from the tom mount, as is the white 14".
No biggie, but it seems like a glaring oversight, looking back. If you never noticed it before, I hope you comment.
