Tama Spartan Hardware just took the lead as the potential cymbal stands of choice unless Sonor has some Aluminum up their sleeves.

Very likely going to go the Sabian route again, too. Heavy on the Todd Sucherman stuff (not to suck up, but because I really like it) and Freq Hats. All tentative at this point.

You’re not sucking up. I may be biased cause my SQ2 is gonna be essentially his configuration, in a 5 piece. I started playing Sabian when Weckl switched to them cause I was really into him at the time. I currently have a Sessions ride and recently got a pair of the AA Spotlights. Amongst other Sabians and Zildjians that get used from time to time. I’m a huge fan of his playing and a lot of that has to do with his sounds. Was the same with Weckl. So to me, I hear these sounds and want exactly that. I don’t have the kind of money to experiment with much so might as well get what I know sounds good to me.

AQ2 Stage Titanium Quartz 10/12/14/16/22
6 x 14 ProLite Snow Tiger
6.5 x 14 Brass Kompressor
SQ2 Heavy Beech African Marble ordered on 8/4/25 - ETA May 2026.

I just got the HHX Redlight crashes too - wonderful things. Very different to my 602s and Foundry Reserves (which is exactly what I wanted)

What sizes did you get? I went with the 19 and 20 on the AAs for now. I’ve never thought I’d use anything larger than an 18 on a wedding/party or small bar gig but recently did both with the AAs and they sounded wonderful.

I got all four, primarily for options really. The 22 really surprised me, so low and smokey that instead of being a massive crash it's almost like a different sound texture full stop.
