They're close to S Classix but not exactly the same

They're actually very close though--I think the FTs were 5mm in the S Classix, as I recall? But I think the rack toms were 6mm. And it was Scandi birch too.

So I'm excited about these...very excited. I won't be selling the vintage shells I have, but I would definitely consider these as an alternative to the SQ2 line for a set of birch medium shells.

I really do dig this new series! IF I were in the market for a new kit, would seriously consider these. I've never owned a 100% birch kit before so the Scandi Birch is most appealing. Also never been a big fan of wraps, but I'm digging the look of the Red Pearl. I'm sure the good folks at Sonor have done their market research and expect to sell a good amount of these.
