Ugliest modern Sonor badges ever?

Post by Jules »

These were out what I was a dealer. To me, Sonor should have never had round badges to start with. Gretsch and DW both had long histories with round badges, and I never quite understood Sonor's move to that.

It amplified my confusion when they started using this silly plastic things. I have a partial childhood memory of SOMETHING that had this clear, rubbery substance over the main part with the verbiage, but I would need hypnotizing to bring that up in my memories. Seriously, it's been nagging me for over 20 years.

All of the plastic puffy stick on Force series badges starting with the 3005, 2005, 1005, and 505 line. They just looked cheap.

Ever since my friend Wald called this one the "poker chip" I can't get it out of my mind...

This style of badge, in all its forms is the most 'we fired the graphic designer and couldn't be arsed to make any effort.' Not a fan.

I agree with most people that the round badges on the delites and the s-classix were not premium to a German Sonor kit.
