This one is pretty darn nice looking

This is my favorite too. I am not a wrap guy; but if I was, the wrap is beautiful too!

.

That's a wood finish.. (you probably already knew that) It's Alpi and I know they call it "California Burl" but it looks like a darker stained version of Walnut Roots.

I wasn't calling the Burl a wrap. I was mentioning that (in addition to the Burl) I also like the wrap finish.

Yeah that is what I figured which is why I stated " You probably already knew that "

That Burl, and even the red wrap, are very nice-looking finishes! Had I not bought the vintage-series drums, I would have ordered 10/12/13/14/16/18/22/24 in the Burl...I think. But to me those gold mallets just look out of place with all the chrome on the shells. To each their own, I guess.

I am not sure the mallets are gold. I think it MAY be a reflection

Yeah, it's sort of weird when I look at the brochure: Some pictures look like the mallets are gold, others don't.

I can't wait to hear Ralf Schumacher let loose on these things in his demo studio. He gets an INCREDIBLE drum sound from whatever he plays. And those Agean cymbals don't hurt either, lol...

Todd and someone else will be playing Momentum drums in the UK tomorrow. THAT should seal the deal for some folks.

Made in the Germany factory -Yay (Happy they're still making new series in-house)

Medium sized shell thickness- Yay (My birch Infinite kit had those & they sang)

Ability to mix different wood types within kit -Yay (I'd choose birch toms and maple bass drum)

No bass drum tom mount - Boo (I like a 4 pc kit at times)

22"' Bass Drum depth - Boo (14 or 15" more practical for gigging)

White finish looks classy!

Wait...I read as there were bass drums both with and without mounts. They're listed one after the other in the PDF, as I recall.

EDIT: Yeah, just went back and looked. The MT suffix means mount and NM means no mount.

I'm confused by that. Does it mean available in either way, or no-mount only? All photos show toms mounted on stands and virgin bass drums.
Maybe someone at the show or in touch with a Sonor rep can clarify.

They are available either with or without the mount. First they list the model with the mount (MT), and then they list the no-mount option (NM).

They are all no mount. The MT is part of the model number and apparently stands for momentum. It’s on all the drums including toms, floor toms and snares.
