Those Cottonwood snares are really something special. Always stand out in recordings/videos.
Hoping to come across an early model square badge one. They don't come around often.

Friend in Australia has one with Hellas rather than the OG hoops and it's just about the only snare he's kept and he buys in and sells out lots of other Sonor stuff. I can't help but wonder how close it is to my Hilite 14x7" with Hellas personally, but I've never seen anyone have them in the same room to do a decent comparison.

Sounds OK to me. I think I prefer a couple of their other snares--but it might just be that his tuning doesn't do it for me. But Sonor makes some INCREDIBLE snare drums, to be sure. I have a "future purchase" list with a few of them on it...
