"THANKS": Keep It or Nix It?

Keep it. It's an easy way to show appreciation and we can just ignore the ratings portion of the feature.

"Thanks" feature on the Forum

The "Thanks" button is the closest thing we can get with this software to a "like" button.

On one hand, I think it's a convenient way to show appreciation for a post without having to actually reply.

One the other hand, I don't know how it calculates the percentages of "Thanks". Some of these posts have very low Thanks ratings, but I think it works likes this: if 15 people look at the post and only 2 click Thanks, it's is a very low rating, and I think that is stupid.

But, again, it's all we've got. Is that annoying anyone or are we glad we have SOMETHING to show a convenient appreciation for each other's efforts?
