UPS drivers are not allowed to scan in picked up packages...

I busted my butt today to pack some things before BROWN showed up with a delivery. So, I hand the driver two packages going out and he didn't scan them. I asked when they would get scanned and he said that they would be scanned at the terminal afer the truck got finished with the route. They disallowed the drivers from scanning pickups for now to keep from tying up delivery time.

So, if they steal, lose or destroy any of these packages before they are scanned in, I can't even prove they were ever in the possession of UPS. I don't like it! As inconvenient as the UPS Store is, I will take everything over there for now.

We've TOTALLY stopped using UPS. It's a major PITA to take it to the UPS depot, and in fact now they've even closed that office here--and we'd have to drive 25 miles to the nearest UPS store, where we'd stand in line for 30 minutes. So instead we pick our time, drive 18 miles to the FedEx depot, and we're in and out...in under 5 minutes most of the time. And the cost is usually within a couple of bucks of what UPS charges to ship.

My days of using UPS to ship are over.
