10"X9" SQ2 Heavy Birch White Sparkle Tom - For eventual interment
New Rig Coming 2026 (Details TBD)
So that would be about $6k if you added a 14" floor tom, give or take. Contrast that with the SQ2 version (well, the hardware at least...it's the same shell of course), which would likely be $7k-ish, right?

Sonor Vintage (marine pearl finish): 6.5x14, 10, 12, 13, 14ft, 16ft, 18ft, 22
$5720.98 for a closely spec'd SQ2 ASSUMING the Chocolate Burl is similarly priced.

It's interesting that it's that close in price, but when you really thing about it, there isn't much difference if you ordered it on the configurator.
Available on SQ2 but not Momentum:
Dial head tension rods on bass drum
Acoustigate
APS on all lugs
Available on Momentum but not SQ2
Sound Sustainer Floor Tom Leg Mounts
Exclusive Finishes
**Let me know what I have missed. I am sure there is something.

So the SQ2 is roughly 18% more than the Momentum. I figured it would be in that neighborhood.
If a person likes the thin or medium shells, then this kit is a screamin' deal IMHO. Had I not bought these Vintage-series drums, I would be all over a Momentum kit in 10/12/14ft/16ft/22. Burl finish. Birch, of course...although beech would have been a possibility as well I think.
I really want to see/hear the video of Todd's performance from this past weekend. I wonder if it will get released?

Worth noting, there'll be a reduction on the RRP of the configurator from your dealer.
I guess Prolite against a same spec SQ2, I seem to recall there was never much in it price wise. When Sonor were offering the pre-config'd SQ2 shell packs, they offered a vintage maple American walnut pack (their most popular they said) and I think it was essentially similar price to the Prolite with a veneer finish.
Here's a quick mock up I did (UK):
Thomann, Momentum 322 Beech in satin pure white £3055
SQ2 spec'd similarly:
5%, IME, is easy to obtain through a dealer on RRP, so £3379 (or less if your dealer can go further)
As a side note, with the pre-config pack being vintage maple, and the Delite and Prolite being famed amongst many for the vintage maple shell, its interesting that its gone for an off the shelf. Maybe trends and popularity have moved....
The big difference should be that the store has the momentum in stock and you can pay and take it home.
$700ish extra to step up to the SQ2 might not seem much of a gap, but then once they tell you it's gonna be 6/9months to get it the SQ2 and you can have a momentum now, choices change.

...especially when they tell you that it's the same shell you'd be getting in that kit you'd wait 6 months for.

Nice. The snare drums are starting to roll in too!

(Still love the 5.75" depth option just a sweet spot)
Seems like they're a tad less than the Vintage series snares are. Weren't those like $1050-1100 or so? It's been a while since I looked, but I'm sure I saw them at over the $1k mark.
