Very nice example of many folks favorite steel model. One note of difference between this and the 582 is that the Signature model featured 12 lug Hellas and the 506 has 10. That makes the 506 much more open. My 582 was very dry compared to the 506 making it way more versatile imho.

Just a great snare with a well earned reputation

If I hadn't just spent an untold amount of money on all these Vintage shells, I would be all over that snare. Love them!

I'm selling it to help cover the cost of an 18" floor tom for my Vintage Series kit.

Yeah--they are a bit on the pricey side, lol. I just bought one and think it was like $1240 or so? Something like that. Might have been a little more than that actually. I was counting on the fact that it had to be made at the factory, and that I would only have to pay like 25-30% down to get it on order. But then, lucky me, it turned out that they "found one more in the warehouse!" and I had to either pony up...or let it go. Well, it's now sitting in my drum room, lol...

That said, I also want to buy a DW curved rack bar to hold the 10, 12 and 13 toms over the kick. That's another $725 or so right there. But then I will have 10/12/13/16ft/18ft and an additional 14ft on my left, near the hi-hat. At this point in my playing career I'm looking for exercise as much as "gigging" considerations...so I've decided to set them all up. What the hell.
