Are Vintage Series bass drums "springy"

If you watch Tal's bass drum closely, you will see that it has more lateral movement than you normally see.

The Vintage series bass drum spur does not have the reinforcement bar like the other upper end series do.

I personally own a Vintage series, and I don't typically play as hard as Tal does, but it also doesn't seem to be a hindrance for him. Maybe he even likes it! (???)

Time to swap in the spurs from a Phonic and see if it makes any difference :lol:
