About me and Sonor Hackor

Post by storsav »

Hi, this sub is dedicated to my videos on Sonor repair, restoration, tricks, tips, experience. I started collecting in 2004 with a Sonor Lite in Scandi birch 24, 13, 16 purchased on eBay for $675! Those were the days. Over the years of buying and selling, I've probably had my hands on at least 450 Sonor drums. I've owned every line of Sonor drums and hardware from about 1970 forward with the exception of the SE and Jet Set models. My advice is not gospel. I'm just an experienced amateur restorer. There may be better ways of doing something.

I finally know how to pronounce his name after 20 years ha.
Hale is a legend.

Regarding painting drums to match. I've done a few kits. I found the only way to satisfy the perfectionist in me is to paint all of the drums. It's the little crap that bothers me. A drum really close to matching is really distracting and makes me nuts.
