I did a video recently about these:

They appear identical to the catalog models, but they were more expensive when they were initially released and NOW there is a price drop on the catalog models which puts a huge gap in pricing.

What is going on here?

As I mentioned a few weeks back on your YT video, there was a photo of one of these out of Australia briefly showed up maybe about 6 weeks ago. At some point they have to be coming out...

I'm guessing, but I know the 150th kits and bronze snare are only just being delivered, basically globally. I wonder if wider releases of other stuff are being held back until after the halo gear is in people's hands.

I have yet to see these anywhere, and I'd be a little upset if they're upcharging for a different badge. When Ludwig had their 110th (I believe) anniversary, all the Supraphonics for that year went out with a special badge to commemorate the occasion, and they didn't charge a penny more for those drums.

The 150 drums are the same price - sort of. One or the other tends to go on sale pretty often. Sometimes one is higher than the other and vice versa. I find it odd.

These dont appear to be sold in the EU, so you get one for example, i would have to pay shipping and import taxes to get one back from the USA! I guess they are going straight from an Asian factory to the countries that are selling them.

I may have been tempted if they had made a sheet bronze shell for the 150th.
