Story goes that Sonny got an endorsement from Sonor drums, but he didn't like them. He missed his old Gretsch.

One of things I really dislike about modern tom mounts is how close they are to the center post; especially ball joint types. Notice how far his rack tom is from the center post. That’s definitely my preference.
