Losing things (drum parts, particularly)

When I was working on the D500 Reissue several months ago, I had a lug insert disappear like a fart in the wind. Everywhere that gravity or gravity and a kick could have sent it were scoured.

As what would seem to be a side note, I had also been experimenting with O rings to replace the snap lock system that I despise. I had ordered several sizes of the O rings and was being diligent not to mix them up or lose track of which was which. If interested, the experiment didn't yield the intended results.

So, I managed to lose a lug designed for the snap lock system, and that's nota standard hardware store item, mind you. Luckily, by friend Buz found one for me, and the drum was returned to factory settings (tongue in cheek) and later sold.

Now, I am going through the aftermath of selling ALMOST all my drum related gear and here is a bag of O rings!

Can relate - I misplaced 4 of the flat-sided tension rods I was replacing on one of my Phonic toms.

Took me 3 weeks to find them...
