Small matter of making sure the bills are all paid for the Vintage Series shell bank first...
I get it. But it's a limited run, and I would think there will be a high resell value once they are no longer available. Just food for thought.

My COB Prolite just arrived a few days ago. Managed to snag one at a black friday price before they sold out. Man, what a snare! I took it to band practice yesterday and it plays like a dream. Played it tuned sorta medium-high with zero muffling and with the stock coated ambassador, and the articulation, the clarity, and the power are remarkable. I play a lot of rimshots and I figured I'd need to use some muffling to control the overtones, but nope - it sounds perfect fully open.
I never had the chance to play the "regular" Prolite brass, but I can't imagine it being significantly better than this. Comparing my experience with the sound files of the brass snare, it sounds like the same drum (which it essentially is, with the chrome coating on top).
All in all, a crazy good snare. The type of sound you'd think could only be achieved with studio processing, but you're getting it right under the stick. I'm thoroughly impressed.

Received mine today. It was labeled as „B-Stock“, which most likely means it‘s a retourn at Thomann. It arrived in it‘s original packacking with no signs of use or scratches etc. Looks like a perfectly new snare for the killer price of 489€. Pretty awesome if you consider it‘s basically the normal Prolite Brass with Hella hoops.
Aa already said, this thing is a beast. I‘m very happy with it!
