Right now I‘m playing a Starclassic Maple in 2x 20“x16“, 8“x6“, 10“x7“, 12“x8“ 14“x14“ and 16“x16“ and I‘m really happy with the way it sounds. The color is Molten Electric Blue Burst and it looks amazing. But I thought about selling it to get a og Signature Heavy Beech since they are widely available over here in germany but I don‘t know if I can really pull the trigger and sell my kit… Right now that is kind of my dream set up and I don‘t know if I‘d be happy with other sizes 😅 Maybe some time in the future or maybe a SQ2 heavy beech with only one bassdrum… I wish they were thicker tho.

Kit wise, all Sonor. I have a few other manufacturer snares besides the Sonor's.

For Drums, currently it's all Sonor.
3 kits (SQ2, Phonic, Performer), and 7 snare drums (SQ2, Performer, 2x Prolite, Hilite, Vintage, Kompressor).

That said, if the need/opportunity arises, I'm not above adding kits or snares that are unique/collectible (like the Lang Gladstone I had) and/or have a truly distinct voice that I can't get close to with one of my existing setups.

Hardware - The majority is Sonor (4000, 600, and Basic Arm series), but I do have a full set of DW's Lightweight (6000 series) hardware for smaller/more compact setups. My pedals though (BD and HH), are all DW. Got hooked on those in the mid-80's and still have yet to find anything that "feels right" to me.

I personally can't fault anyone using another brand of hardware, particularly light weight hardware. If I gigged regularly; Yamaha Crosstown ALL DAY LONG!!!
