This would be a poll if not SO many viable options. For me it is my first snare, my D 500 reissue with Hella Hoops.

Vintage Series Teak 13/16/18/22
Sonor Artist Bronze w/Hella Hoops
Sonor 600 Series Hardware

So many to choose from.

For snares I don’t own, I would love to get an HLD593. I’ve taken a fancy to piccolo snares as I get older. This one is not only hard to come by but not cheap either.

As far as snares I do own, I would say my Rosewood D471. This was the first Sonor snare to feature decorative veneer inside and out which is hallmark of top of the line Sonor today. Honorable mention to the HLD582 and D508x

Gotta be the Sonorlite 7.25x14 with the extended (not parallel) snare strainer.
Lot's of crack with deep body, sensitive...damn.

Sold the 557 model, the Sig parallel strainer earlier this year

But kept my 547 also in onyx

Great snare. I think all the TypeII models are winners

I didn't get a Sonor snare with my Lites in early '84, but added this from June of '84 31 years later.
