Pretty good video of the sound qualities of the Sonor Delite first run (square badge). This shells were slightly thicker (8.4mm bd and snare 6.3mm toms) than the later round badge and Prolite drums (8 mm bd 6 mm snare and toms). All feature "Vintage Maple" shells (thin NA maple with re-rings).
I have an Ice Sparkle square badge at the moment--17x20 bd, 17x22 bd, 15x18 bd, 4.25x14 snare, 8x10, 9x10, 9x12, 10x12, 12x14, 14x16 rack toms and 14x14, 16x16, 16x18 floor toms. Would love to have a 13 tom to match. I love that the 10's still use 5 lugs per side unlike the newer ones. Also--Slotted Rods!
The sound is particularly "modern" with lots of bite and tons of warmth underneath.

Yes Drum Shop Maine was able to get an accurate or proper sound out of these drums.storsav wrote: Sat May 10, 2025 7:24 pm Pretty good video of the sound qualities of the Sonor Delite first run (square badge). The shells are actually ROUGHLY 6mm kick/snare and 4mm toms and then just the very edge where they add the ROUGHLY 2mm rings but that is a fraction of the main shell..,. Some of their previous literature is just giving the shell edge with ring thickness which is deceiving IMO.
