Sonor Black Chacate Shell?

Post by storsav »

Build, Build, Build!

Kinda thinking the Hilite style lugs are best, just because the Sonor SQ2 style is trying to replicate perfection from the factory...

Personal preference: Modern hardware. But, I am biased.

Thanks for coming!

Wow, great shell! I vote the Hilite lugs so less of the beautiful grain is covered.

My thought too! I prefer a classic Link-era look. The tube lug idea might take up too much space. Better for an 8x14. We'll see...

I'm curious how the Phonic/Signature lugs would look - the boxy design detract too much from the shell...?

Also thinking about the Vintage series teardrop style - I would expect those to have a similar look as they do on the Rosewood finish...

Sq2 - Med Beech, Rosewood finish - 10/12/14/16/18/22 + 6.5x14
Performer - Wine Red, 12/13/16/22 + 6.5x14 (D456)
Phonic - Oak, 13/14/16/22

I posted about this one on the FB post Hale made...

I think ruthenium Vintage Series lugs on that would look fantastic. Shame you can't get them...

But I'd pair them with ruthenium Hellas and Dual Glide personally in some fantasy world where you can buy this stuff.
