Beautiful. Back in my days of drooling over a Sonorlite set in Modern Drummer, they had the Onyx Black finish in the ads, and I was really drawn to that. These days, I like a lighter shade of veneer. This is super classy as is the current Teak finish on the Vintage Series.

That’s the later ones with the 4.5mm birch shells and bigger tom shells wee like 5mm?

Yes , this veneer was not an option for earlier designers.
