I have heard positive things about the Kompressor Aluminum. Sounds good to me!!!

No thanks. Thin, shallow...tinny. Never been a fan of aluminum snares, and in fact gave away the only one I ever had (Ludwig Acrolite) to Michael Iveson, when he was playing with Gotye. He loved the things and we were both playing Craviotto at the time--so one day we were talking online and I told him how much I didn't like the things, and he said "send it to me." So I did.
