Testing, one, two... Snares!
Hey, all!
Jules asked me to join, so I figured I'd do just that. Keith P. and I recently did a deal and I ended up with a couple of snares that I've owned in the past (not the exact ones, but ones just like them).
I have this bad habit of buying, selling, and then again purchasing the exact same things I've owned before. I guess it's part of the Sonor sickness.
This 506 with Hellas is a BEAST!!!! And the 6.5 depth Designer is my favorite snare ever (6.5 F3K being an extremely close second).
Cheers from cold-ass Cleveland.

I am a huge advocate for Hellas on just about anything. If you think they sound good on a Sonor snare, you should try them on a peanut butter and mustard sandwich.
But, seriously... Two phenomenal snare drums. I bought a batch of Designer drums in December and have been going through them one by one here and there, all with Hellas. The build quality is second to none. The quality of the finishes is taken for granted. These drums I have were toured, and used in studios and you they are cleaning up excellently from the chrome to the lacquer. And the "D" (Phonic) snares are always killer. You can't go wrong with either of those. As a rather frequent buyer and seller, myself, I can totally get why those models would stay in rotation in the collection.
