What is important to you when choosing a dealer?

This isn't regarding things like sticks, heads and small items like that. I mean more in the way of high end drum gear.

I think these are all pretty self explanatory.

Just a quick, less than concise run down.

1) Are you always going with the best price, regardless of other factors?

2) If it is an obscure or hard to find item, are you going to buy if from whomever may have it available regardless of other factors?

3) Do you favor dealers who know and understand what they are selling?

4) Do you prefer to buy from someone who has a reputation for taking care of customers, even if not always the best price?

5) Do you favor dealers with more solid reviews and reputation, in general?

6) Do you patronize businesses who go the extra mile with online content to give you insight into the products beyond what is otherwise available?

7) Do you prefer a company that has a solid future more than getting a good deal from one that may not be around long?

8) Do you stick with the same dealer because of an established relationship?

9) Do you prefer a dealer who carries most or all of your preferred brands and items regardless of most other factors?

10) If you have a reason you use a particular dealer other than listed above, please explain.

I pretty much stay loyal to my dealer that I had for forever, although that means that I pay a bit more on stuff like heads etc. But I rather support a independently owend drum store than a huge company.

My dealer also already knows what I would order anyway if something limited is on the way, so I never had a problem in that regard.

Big discounts on bigger orders is also a benefit of the loyalty.

There are only 10 options for polls by default. One that I wish I had thought of was financing options. Not only did I buy a good deal of stuff from Sweetwater on 48 months plans, but I bought a ton of gear on 48 months that I would have never bought if not for those terms. In that regard, Sweetwater didn't get money I would have spent elsewhere, I only even did it because the payments were so low!
