My favorite Snare

Post by Joe´s Drumgear »

After receiving the info that my drumstore would get one of the 100 150“ Bronze Snares, I was instantly planning to sell some gear to be able to afford it and be the first to contact them about it.

A few months before that I already bought the new Tama 50th Bell Brass and 50th Rosewood, aswell as some 15“ Custom Rude Hats, so budget was low… really low.

Lucky me, I had some snares I could sell and so I sold my limited Tama Lars Ulrich Black Album Snare for a really really good price. After that it took me like 5min to contact Drumladen to get that Sonor Bronze. I felt like the luckiest person in the world haha.

What can I say, that drum is pure perfection. Although some people bought it as an investement, my point of view is that instruments are meant to be played. And this snare is no exception.

I love to play it regular and it became my favorite snare in my collection fast.

It‘s completly different to the Bell Brass, not necessary better, but different. It combines a darkness and warmth with insane projection and tone.

I‘m pretty sure I will never let go off that snare!

I echo that Joe. My 50th Bell Brass does have that sound everyone chases and no one else can achieve, but in every other way the 150th bronze is just a level up. It's become that one drum I'd save in a fire before anything else...
