This is one example of the nonsense. Every now and then something hits prices so low that I want to snatch it even though I am not in a position to do so. As to this snare drum, on what planet is that thing worth more than about 1/3 of that, being used?

What have you seen that was really priced out there or what really good deals have you found?

Any ad that starts with "RARE" is always overpriced.

Reverb seems to be the worst place for people thinking what they have is solid gold and overpricing it, and then when you see it a month later reduced by 35% its still way above market value!

A recent ad for a Sonor hilte set was priced at $13,500, it's now down to $9,500. There is a very similar set on the same website for sale in a rarer colour for $3500 that been for sale for 6 months. 50% of sellers have no idea what they are doing.

Since covid i've been collecting and have bought everything at what I think is market value, to about 25% below on some deals.

One interesting one that is kinda easy to follow is 14/8 signature bubinga snares. The price will differ on 12/10 lug and hella or non hoops. but i have found they seem to be popping up for 1000/1250 fairly regularly. but there are still the 2500/3500 ones so that i know have been for sale for over 2 years!
Once a month or so, when I search ebay for anything new/interesting, there is 90% of the same overpriced stuff still there for sale. I guess these people have endless time to wait for that one person who will just have to have it.
