30 of 100

Post by Joe´s Drumgear »

Today I picked up mine at my local dealer here in germany. Could not be happier with it, this thing is a beast and weighs a ton  I got number 30 of 100.

For comparison I used my Tama 6,5“ Bell Brass Snare, but the Sonor just plays in another league. Both sound and hardwarewise.

Looking forward to many years of playing it!

The only downside is, I probably don‘t need my other snares anymore :D

It‘s insane. It feels great under the stick, has a lot of depth and dark overtones. It projects like crazy and has a heavenly rimshot. Before the HLD I already had the Tama Bell Brass, which was my first ever cast bronze snare. But the 8“ shell just suits me more, 8“ always was my favorite size anyway. The undersized shell construction + the more or less rounded bearing edge make it also less harsh in comparison to the Tama in my ears.
