I once played what must be a one of a kind Signature set in Rosewood with 'power' size toms, the best sound and feel I've experienced in Sonor drums. At least, that's my recollection. That sell went 'south' though and didn't happen then those drums were 'stolen or disappeared'.

Anyway, Cindy Blackmon had a custom order Signature Special Edition in standard depths, hi gloss Bubinga. She and I spoke of it in an email once long ago and she said she might some day consider parting with it but it was really her favorite. I wonder where that kit is?

Interesting. She is a big Tony Williams fan, so I have always wondered why she didn't sign with Gretsch in the beginning. Maybe they wouldn't put her on the roster? Adam Nussbaum tried to sign with Gretsch, first, unless I am confusing interviews.

I remember seeing this Evans ad with her Signature Special Edition kit in MD.

Her and Wil calhoun of living colour were both big tony fans and are both now at gretch.

I would hazard a guess that American endorsees get a lot more attention from their American brand than from the lackluster sonor distributor.
