Why two spare parts sheets?

Post by DaveInNZ »

Does anyone have any clue why when you go to the Sonor spare parts page, expand the Vintage Series option, you see two variants of the bass drum spares?

Spare parts: https://www.sonor.com/spare-parts

Hopefully these direct links work...
Vintage 15 bass drum: https://www.sonor.com/fileadmin/user_up ... rum_nm.pdf
Vintage 16 bass drum: https://www.sonor.com/fileadmin/user_up ... m___wm.pdf

All tips gratefully received.

Other than the VT 16 having the parts for the BD with Mount, I can't seem much of any other difference...

So, the 15 has the Sonor Logo to the front (reso) head of the bass drum - this was for the first year on launch in 2015 (hence 15) when they didn't offer a tom mount. One year later in 2016, along with a new finish, the tom mount option was added and to accomodate this the logo and the vent were flipped. Although the bass drum was still able to be bough (and still is in the current day) with no mount, the orientation of the logo and vent stayed flipped. Thats the only difference.
