Re: 150th Anniversary Shell Sets
They are beautiful kits and I'm sure they'll make any buyers really happy but the gold and black hardware are deal breakers for me. Out of my price range as well. Personally, I was hoping they'd recreate some designer kits.

Re: Prolite Brass 14x6
Totally agree. This my go to snare. I've had several different Sonor snares including a few SQ2's and I always come back to the Prolite Brass. 14x6 has always been my favorite size and the Hellas just kick it to another gear.

Re: Thin Scandinavian Birch HELLO!
That kit is gorgeous! We both agree that thin Scandinavian Birch toms are tough to beat. Just a glorious sound! I'm thinking of adding a 3rd rack tom but I can't decide between the 8x7 (enough tone?) or a 13x10 (grrrr classic rock!).

Re: Floor tom size intervals
Hey thanks Jules. I knew he had the 15 and 18 setup but I didn't realize that he had tried the 15 w/ the 16. As older cat I'm thinking the 3rd rack tom might be my better play as it would be less twisting back to the 2nd FT. A 13x10 might be the better play in that it might provide a more natural ...

Floor tom size intervals
I'm looking at adding either a 3rd rack tom or a 2nd floor tom to my kit. Regarding the floor tom I'm thinking of getting a 15x13 instead of a 14x14. I really don't like 14" FTs but I'm concerned the 15x13 won't be a big enough interval next to my 16x16. Thoughts?

Hello fellow SQ2 owners
My first post here on Jules' cool new Sonor forum. It's nice to have an SQ2 specific page in addition to all the other cool Sonor topics as well. Looking forward to some good chin wag here.
