Re: I solved Sonor's error--Quad Tom Stand!

Set screws would just press on the outside of the tube, so they would not stop a post from going inside. That way its still adjustable also

Re: What's in a name? "Force"

I wonder if Force played a part in the recent choice of momentum. I prefer Force of the two, as it feels simpler for the public to work more meanings around.

I really dont like SQ2 "quality squared" what the hell is that? Maybe it makes more sense in German.

I much prefered designer.

Re: D-506 vs D-456... what are the differences in the sound...?

I dont have personal experience comparing them, but I think the differences are functional rather than sonic.

Sonor were not very good at cutting corners for cheaper lines and I think due to that some of their lower lines that can be bought cheaper sound every bit as good as the more expensive ...

Re: I solved Sonor's error--Quad Tom Stand!

Rather than welding, I would drill holes and tap them for wingnuts or set screws at the back

Re: Not another virgin bass drum thread

I wonder if in DCP case the decision is two-fold.

1: A virgin base drum gives the most flexibility for the customer, take it virgin, or have a standard/rocket launcher fitted for extra $.

2: Adding standard double mount 190euro, adding rocket launcher 650euro, both only let you mount the toms ...

I wonder how long it would take for an SQ2 snare drum (not an entire kit).

I would guess it makes no difference and SQ2 are just built in order of when the order is taken (unless they have a specific section that works on just snares)

Re: Where did the 17.5" bass drum depth come from?

If I were back in retail, I would be cursing Sonor for them. It's just an over-complicated thing to tell a customer and then explain in a way that does not sound like sales bullshit. Those are conversations that make customers want to "go away and think about it" code for I'm now confused or ...

Re: Reasons why it sucks not having Sonor dealers stocking full line gear...

Its the diminishing sales % down the ladder

Sonor make 100% products

Country distributors import a percentage of what they perceive to be sellable in their market country. 75%

The sales rep then has to show what is imported to the store and they pick out what will sell in their area. 30/50% (of ...

Re: Where did the 17.5" bass drum depth come from?

Its funny that I have already seen at least one Momentum YouTube review that did not even bother to mention the tom depths at all.
